About Me
Since my teenage years, I have been fascinated by the idea of discovering how our mind works, and why we feel what we feel. My career path went through different areas, such as law, journalism, teaching, being a mother (the most difficult job!), but every time I kept coming back to the question – what is inside me as a lawyer, as a journalist, teacher, and mom? To what extent are we connected to others? And are we always connected to ourselves? Later in life, I realised that I want to be a therapist and support others in moving toward self-awareness and meaningful connection.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with over a decade of professional experience in psychotherapy and counselling, both in Canada and internationally. My practice is rooted in evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. My clinical work is also influenced by the training I received in Russia, where my professional journey began.
During sessions, I tailor my techniques to each client's unique needs, history, and therapeutic goals. I work primarily with adults and young adults who are experiencing challenges such as anxiety, depression, low mood, relationship issues, low self-esteem, childhood emotional wounds, life transitions, and existential crises.
My work is grounded in a client-centered and trauma-informed perspective, prioritizing emotional safety, autonomy, and the therapeutic alliance. I bring a warm and empathetic approach to mental health care, and I am deeply committed to supporting individuals through life’s most complex and challenging circumstances.
