About Me
I have decided to become a yoga therapist since many students who come to my yoga classes have pre-existing conditions such as knee, back, and shoulder pain, tight hips, stress, anxiety, etc., and they always ask for advice on how to apply yoga to help them improve their wellbeing. I love helping people, so I learned therapeutic approaches based on yoga philosophy and practice. I completed a certified Yoga Therapy course with The Yoga Institute in Mumbai, India, and am currently enrolled in a Yoga Therapy course with YogaLife Institute, USA.
Most of my clients have reported improved sleep, reduced pain, mobility, and overall well-being. Some of my clients have continued to attend my classes for over 2 years, both online and in-person, at the City of Toronto community centers. They find my classes unique as the pace is moderate, and they focus on their body and breathing during movement, which incorporates both stretching and strengthening. We spend a great amount of time on warm-up and lubrication of the joints, thus balancing the flow of energy in the body and allowing the body to heal. I also provide modifications to accommodate my clients’ needs as I build personalized movement sequences for each class based on my clients’ goals and abilities.
